After reading the frontpage post about embeding video's, I guess I may as well get this over with. I made this video about a year ago, and..well... I just hope you get a kick out of me acting like a fool. :P

I've been doing quite a bit of heavy thinking in terms of what I should do with my future. I'm at a point in my life where I'm feeling left behind, not where I should be, and perhaps going down the wrong path.

I'm a current student at Georgia State University majoring in film. My true career goal is to work in the field of either radio or t.v. but this college doesn't have a media major so film is the closest thing, that and I've always loved movies. I knew going in, that my particular career choice was a highly competitive job market with not a whole lot of opportunity, so I have been trying very hard to think of what i could fall back on. With a film degree there really isn't a place for me to work, and I don't want to just give up and resign myself to working at my current job at Publix. So I began to really have some serious doubt well up in me this entire month as I had no clear answer to what I would do if I was unable to find employment in my chosen and desired path.

So I came up with something that did spark my interest. Teaching. I've always been good with this area and have had several people tell me that I would make a very good one. At the time I just wrote it off as I knew exactly what I had wanted to do then, just without a backup plan. I intend to find out some information from advisors on what I should do. I think I may end up trying to do a double major, but that will keep me in school much longer that I had wanted so that brings up another problem. The general feeling that i have of me overstaying my time in college would still be there if i go this route. But I need to know these things, and I need to know what i can do to make sure I can find a job that I can live off of, because as it stands right now, if i didn't have financial aid going I couldn't support myself.

I'm turning 25 this year. I'm well aware that NG is dominated by the younger crowd. I hope I'm not too old to be a part of this crowd and that some of you find relevence in my little rant. I just hope and pray that I can find my way. Thanks for listening.

Just saw Sweeney Tod last night and I have to say I was impressed. It looked great, very creepy and dark and the music fit in very well with the story and didn't feel forced in any way. Depp really pulled off the look and sound.

Very graphic too as Burton doesn't hold back on the blood and gore as Tod slices throats while Mrs. Lovett makes the victums into pies and serves them to unwitting customers. Their song about the tastes of people is hilarious in a evil kind of way.

I've never seen the play so this movie adaptation is my first exposure to the story and everything. I really enjoyed it, and after seeing the movie I would love to see it performed live.

One of the erriest songs has to be when they are looking for the boy while Lovett sings "Not While I'm around" all while Tod's got his razor out and ready to use.

If you haven't seen the movie and can handle musicals I highly suggest you go and see it.

I am a firm beliver in irony. It's something that happens to everyone at least once in a while. Some of the cases of irony are famous, like the Titanic. A ship that had the claim "God can not sink this ship" sunk on it's first voyage. So with this in mind I know how long my friends and I will live.

Due to my avoidance of drinking any form of alchol, having never done any drugs, and being a non-smoker many of my friends who do partake of these things have said I'll outlive them and will be the last alive out of the group. Right off the bat, really heavy chances for irony to strike. So I'm set to be the first to go out of my friends.

But here is the true capper: When I was very young I had it in my head one day that everyone died when they reached the age of fourty. Which is ridiculous considering my Mom gave birth to me when she was that age, so when she told me this I simply told her in return that she should be dead. I must have been around two or three when this occured.

So with that in mind I will live to the age of fourty. All my friends will live longer though some less since irony applies to stupid crap you do when you're young.

Care to live it up with me?

It's my third day at this new school and I think I'll be fine. It's much different that any other school, colloege or otherwise than I've ever been to or attended. The main reason is that Georgia State is located in downtown Atlanta so its campus is really non-existent and in it;s place are several buildings. I'm used to a campus where I don't have to dodge cars to get to where I need to go. other than that this is all fine.
I'm glad that the library computers on campus allow NG. I'd hate it if I had to wait till I got home to see what's going on around here.

Hey all! Time to break this thing in!

I am moving out of my parents house to go to Georgia State University to major in film. I am leaving here August 5th and I have no idea when I'll get my computer hooked up. The school blocks NG so I can't do anything from there. I start school the 22nd (I think) but I think I'll have my internet by then.

I'm not moving into a dorm either but actually a friend I have known since middle school bought a house a little outside Atlanta. I'll be renting a room from him at a much cheaper rate than a dorm or an appartment. So these are exciting times for me. Also a bit on the stressful but I'll get through it.
