I've been playing Pokemon Y for a little over a month now. This is significant since the last Pokemon game I played was Yellow. So basically the last one I truly played was the first installment of it and haven't touched it or payed any attention to it since.

It was from watching some online stuff that got my attention and got me interested in giving it a try for old times sakes. Plus Game Stop had a deal where if you bought either a 2DS or a 3DSXL and a game you would get either X or Y for free. Since I was wanting a new handheld anyway an I had just gotten my tax return I figured "Why not?" and bought it.

While the game wasn't very hard and I have gotten all the way through the story, it did bring back some fond memories of my first experience playing Pokemon. That joy of encountering something new and cool and catching it was defiantly there and I had fun. That was the real important thing.

I'm now at that point where I'm just messing about and trying to trade here and there and do a little grinding to get things to evolve. Trouble is I don't know anyone with the game and trying to put stuff out there for the general public to do is very hit or miss. I also don't really intend to finish the Pokedex since I know I'll tire of the game long before I get close.
